Wind Power

PPC through PPC Renewables utilizes the power of the wind, developing Wind Farms (WFs) in both island and mainland regions of Greece.

Apart from the environmental benefits deriving from this activity, of particular importance is the fact that the development of WFs on the islands substantially contributes to their energy autonomy. By way of illustration, a typical 10 MW wind farm can power 7.250 households annually, thus contributing to saving 2.580 tons of fuel oil.

The installed capacity of PPC Renewables’ WFs amounts to approximately 115 MW in 31 Wind Farms. In 2020 the generation of electricity amounted to 157 GWh.

Through the operation of these WFs, CO2 emissions of 108,640 tons were avoided and the energy needs of 42,833 Greek households were covered.
