Trading Update

                                                        ANNOUNCEMENT

Following the recent announcement related to the bond offering and pursuant to laws 3556/2007 and 3340/2005 and the implementing decisions 1/434/03.07.2007 and 3/347/12.07.2005 of the Hellenic Capital Markets Commission, Public Power Corporation S.A. (“PPC S.A.”) would like to inform the investing public that based on preliminary internal management estimates for the three months ended March 31, 2014, it expects revenues for the three months ended March 31, 2014 to slightly decline compared to the corresponding period in 2013. This expected decline is primarily caused by lower overall demand for electricity mainly as a result of the mild winter conditions and the recent decrease in tariffs for High Voltage Customers. PPC S.A. expects that pre-provisioning EBITDA will decline by a similar percentage as compared to the corresponding period in 2013.
PPC S.A. expects that its full results for the three months ended March 31, 2014 will be available at the end of May.

The above information is based on preliminary results and estimates and is not intended to be a comprehensive statement of PPC S.A.’s financial or operational results for the three months ended March 31, 2014. PPC S.A.’s preliminary estimates are based on a number of assumptions that are subject to inherent uncertainties and subject to change.
