ANNOUNCEMENT
PPC S.A. announces that due to the increased inflows in the Reservoirs of the Hydro Power Plants resulting from the continuous and intense rainfalls during the recent period, in combination with the already high water reserves, it is necessary to take immediate measures for the security of dams, the avoidance of flooding, etc.
The water reserves in PPC’s Reservoirs are at the level of approximately 2370 GWh, increased by approximately 46% compared to last year’s respective levels (approximately 1620 GWh) and by 18% compared to the statistically maximum acceptable levels of the same period. For this reason, PPC has to substantially increase its hydro generation during the current period.
