Clarifications on Electricity Supply Services

                                                          ANNOUNCEMENT
 

Following the announcement made today by the Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) and by the Hellenic Transmission System Operator (HTSO), in which they notified for the deletion of two specific electricity suppliers from the Market Participants Registry, PPC S.A. announces the following:

• According to L.4001/2011, article 57, PPC S.A. undertakes the responsibility to supply electricity to the customers of these companies, as a last resort supplier, starting from 00:01 on Wednesday 25/1/2012.

• According to the provisions of L.4001/2011, there is a period of up to three (3) months, for these customers to choose a Supplier, including PPC amongst others, and to sign the relevant contract.

• During the aforementioned period, the respective customers will be billed, as stated by the law, in accordance with the relevant publicly available tariffs of PPC.
It is also noted, that, as of 31.12.2011, total overdue payments of these companies to PPC, in its role as the Distribution Network Operator, and in relation to charges for network fees usage for Medium and Low Voltage customers amounts to € 64.7 million. PPC has filed a complaint before RAE for these two companies, whereas PPC has also filed suits against them.
