ANNOUNCEMENT
EIB and PPC signed today finance contracts for a € 310 mln financing, for the enhancement of energy safety and efficiency in Greece. This financing was provided within the framework of a long standing and excellent cooperation between EIB and PPC for investments in technologically advanced and environment - friendly power generation units as well as for the reinforcement, expansion and improvement of the transmission and distribution networks’ efficiency, throughout the country.
Out of the € 310 mln of EIB financing, € 150 mln will be used for the construction of the new CCGT unit in Megalopolis and € 160 mln for the expansion and reinforcement of the Greek transmission and distribution networks.
