In response to a relevant question by the Hellenic Capital Market Commission with respect to recent press articles about PPC's "agreement" with the Republic of North Macedonia for the Cebren hydroelectric plant, PPC SA. (“PPC”) announces that:
- It has submitted an offer, as part of a consortium with Archirodon Group N.V (Archirodon), in the tender launched by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of North Macedonia for the construction and operation of the Cebren hydroelectric project with a capacity of 333MW, as well as the exploitation of the already in operation Tikves hydroelectric plant with a capacity of 116 MW on the Crna River of the neighboring country.
- At present, the PPC - Archirodon consortium is in communication with the Contracting Authority of the tender which is still at the evaluation stage of the submitted offer. Until now, there is no official announcement from the Contracting Authority regarding the final assignment of the project.
In any case, PPC will proceed to an announcement following the completion of the evaluation process.
